We presented our second projects last weekend, and I have to say that I felt much more confident about my project this time! I guess preparing helps out after all! I discovered through my survey that snakes were the animal most often seen on encounters, and were also the most often seen multiple times! I thought that was pretty interesting. Others projects were interesting as well.
I interviewed for a real position in Wild Encounters on Tuesday since one of our staff members just accepted another job position. I felt really good about my interview!! I'm really hoping to get hired, but I don't expect to only because there are two interns that have already graduated college. We are all anxious to find out, since it's been several days since the interviews.
Today we got our final projects and started brainstorming. My idea is to develop and perform a new chat for our Sumatran rhino, Harapan! I'm super excited, because I absolutely fell in love with him (and the rest of Wildlife Canyon) when I volunteered there one day. I can't wait! Time to start writing my outline to ensure that I get to do it!
